# How to Order a Semi Trailer from Enxin

In short: ordering a semi trailer from Enxin takes five steps — send your requirement, receive a specification sheet and quotation within two working hours on a business day, confirm the specification and pay a 30% deposit, follow production through photos and video, then take delivery with the loading photos and shipping documents in hand. The minimum order is one unit.

You do not need drawings, a formal enquiry document or an import agent to start. Most of our orders begin with a message that says what the trailer has to carry, where it is going and how many units you need. This page sets out exactly what happens next, what you pay and when, and what lands in your inbox at each stage.

Step 1 — Send your requirement

Tell us four things and we can quote:

  1. Trailer type — flatbed, skeleton, side dump, rear dump, fence, lowbed or a custom build.
  2. The load you carry — bulk density, container sizes, livestock, machinery, or the tonnage per trip.
  3. Your destination port — this drives the loading plan and the freight advice.
  4. Quantity — one unit for a trial, or a fleet.

A drawing, a photograph of a trailer you already run, or a plain message all work. If you are not sure which type fits, describe the job and we will tell you which family we would build — including when the honest answer is that a cheaper model will do the same work.

Step 2 — Get a drawing and a quotation

We reply with four things:

  • a specification sheet for the model and configuration
  • the price
  • the lead time
  • a loading plan showing how the units travel

This normally comes back within two working hours on a business day. Nothing is charged for it and there is no obligation.

Step 3 — Confirm the specification

This is the step where a trailer becomes yours. We agree, in writing:

Item What gets fixed here
Axles brand and count
Suspension mechanical leaf spring or air
Tyres and rims size and brand
Main beam section height and plate thickness
Paint colour and markings
Extras tarpaulin, side walls, twist locks, tool box

A proforma invoice follows. A 30% deposit starts production, and the remaining 70% is paid on the terms written into that same proforma invoice.

Step 4 — Follow production

We send photographs and video at each stage: cutting, welding, shot blasting, painting and final assembly. You can also inspect live by video call, or come to the factory in Liangshan and see your own unit on the line. Every order is built against the specification sheet you approved, and checked before it leaves the yard.

Step 5 — Ship and hand over

The trailer is loaded, lashed and sealed, and it travels one of two ways:

  • CKD or SKD in a 40HQ container. The usual choice for one to ten units, because it keeps the ocean freight per unit down.
  • Breakbulk, as a complete trailer. For a single large unit, or a batch that does not divide neatly into containers. The trailer travels assembled, so there is nothing to rebuild at your end.

Units load at Qingdao, Rizhao, Lianyungang or Tianjin, whichever suits the sailing you need. We work out the freight cost per unit both ways for your order and put the cheaper option in the quotation, so the choice is made on your numbers rather than ours. You then receive:

  • loading photographs
  • the packing list
  • the shipping documents

Our export team stays with the order through shipping and commissioning.

FAQ

Which trade terms do you quote?

CIF, FOB and EXW. Tell us your destination port and we will quote the term that suits your import setup.

Can I inspect the trailer before it ships?

Yes. Third-party inspection before shipment is welcome, and SGS and BV inspectors can attend. We also send photographs and video at five production stages, and you can watch the build by video call or come to the factory.

What documents do I receive?

See the terms table above: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and certificate of origin. Tell us at the order stage if your customs broker needs anything else.

Who clears customs at destination?

The buyer. We supply the shipping and certification documents your broker needs, and we help with the market-access documents your country requires.

How do I assemble the trailer if it ships CKD?

Assembly drawings, video and engineer guidance are supplied with the shipment, so your team can complete the assembly locally. The CKD packing list tells you what is in each container, and our engineers stay reachable through the build.

What is the minimum order?

One unit. Trial orders are welcome, and better pricing applies from five or ten units.

How much deposit do I pay?

30% of the invoice value, paid against the proforma invoice, which starts production. The remaining 70% and the shipping terms are written into that same invoice.

Do you ship breakbulk as well as in containers?

Yes. Most orders go CKD or SKD in 40HQ containers, but a single large trailer or a batch that does not divide neatly into containers can travel breakbulk as a complete unit. We price both ways for your order and quote the cheaper one.

How long does production take?

It depends on the model and the quantity. Common configurations run about 10 to 15 days for a single unit, and 25 to 40 days for ten or more. The figure is confirmed in your quotation before you pay anything.

How is the trailer shipped?

Most orders go CKD or SKD in 40HQ containers to keep the ocean freight per unit down. Where a trailer ships more cheaply in one piece, we say so in the quotation.

Do you supply spare parts after delivery?

Yes. Wearing parts and replacement components are available after delivery, and our export team stays with the order through shipping and commissioning.
