Description
A mixer semi-trailer keeps concrete live between the batching plant and the pour. The drum turns continuously in transit so the mix does not separate or start to set, whatever the distance or the traffic between the two.
The unit documented here carries 16 cubic metres, and 12, 14 and 18 cubic metre drums are built to the same design. The chassis is a purpose-designed Q345 high-strength I-beam formed by automatic submerged arc welding, on three-axle 3 x 13 t running gear. Overall the trailer measures 9,663 x 2,495 x 3,780 mm and weighs 9,800 kg.
The mixing system can be driven by a diesel engine mounted on the trailer or taken from the towing vehicle, and the drum runs at 12 to 20 rpm. Drum plate is 6 mm high-strength wear-resistant steel. Two, three or four axles are available with 13 t, 14 t, 16 t or 20 t BPW or FUWA axle sets, on mechanical suspension with air suspension on request, and 12R22.5 tyres on 9.0-22.5 rims.
Landing gear is a 28 t JOST, FUWA or Yahua unit and the king pin is JOST 2 in (50 mm) or 3.5 in (90 mm). Colour and markings are applied to your requirements.
Tell us the drum size, the mix you run and how far you haul, and we will confirm the axle and drive configuration for your routes.
