In short: A tipper truck price in Nigeria is decided by four things before any margin is added: how much volume the body has to hold, what axle rating your legal gross weight needs, which steel grade the beams are cut from, and whether the unit ships fully built or as a CKD kit. Change any one of them and you are comparing two different trailers, not two prices.
Tipper truck price questions are the ones we answer most often from Nigeria, and the honest answer is that a single figure quoted without a specification tells you nothing. Here is what actually moves the number, and what to send us so the reply stops being a range.
What a tipper truck price in Nigeria depends on
- Body volume and payload. We build this range from a 25-35 CBM rear dump up to an 80-100 t U-shape mining body. Volume and payload are not the same thing, and the one you actually need is set by the material you haul, not by the biggest number on a spec sheet.
- Axle count and rating. Two, three or four axles, with axle sets rated 13 t, 14 t, 16 t or 20 t. Moving from a 13 t set to a 20 t set is one of the largest single jumps in any quote.
- Main beam steel and section. Our builds use Q345 or Q345B high-tensile steel with automatic submerged arc welding, on a 500 mm beam height. The 25-35 CBM model runs a 12 / 8 / 12 mm, 140 mm-flange section; the U-shape mining model runs 16 / 10 / 18 mm. Thicker section, heavier price.
- Body plate and floor. A 6 mm checkered floor and 1,600 mm side walls in 6 mm plate is our standard; the side dump uses an 8 mm checked floor. Plate thickness is where cheap quotes quietly save money.
- Hydraulic system. The 40 CBM model uses a front-mounted 180 cylinder; the U-shape mining build uses a HYVA system. Brand and cylinder size both show up in the figure.
- Tyres and rims. 12R22.5 tubeless on 9.0-22.5 rims, or 12.00R20, at twelve tyres on the standard builds. A twelve-tyre and a sixteen-tyre build are not the same trailer.
- Shipping form. Fully assembled or CKD. On some lanes a knocked-down kit saves freight and adds an assembly step; on others it does not. Do the arithmetic on your own route before choosing.
- Order quantity and port. Better pricing applies from five or ten units; a one-unit trial order is welcome and priced as one unit. We load from Qingdao, Rizhao, Lianyungang or Tianjin, and the inland haulage to port sits inside the FOB price.
The four tipper builds we ship
These are the models this pricing applies to, with the specifications we publish on each product page:
- 3 Axle Rear Dump Semi Trailer, 25-35 CBM – 10,500 x 2,600 x 3,700 mm, payload configured from 30 t to 100 t, 6 mm checkered floor, 1,600 mm sides, 12 / 8 / 12 mm main beam section at 500 mm height.
- 40 CBM Dump Tipper Trailer – 40 CBM body, 50,000 kg payload, three 16 t axles, 11,200 mm long, 12.00R20 tyres, front-mounted 180 cylinder.
- 3 Axle Side Dump Semi Trailer, 30-100 Ton – 13,000 mm long, 30 t standard and up to 100 t as configured, 8 mm checked floor, 18 / 14 / 20 mm beam section, twelve Chengshan 12R22.5 tyres.
- 4 Axle U-Shape Rear Dump Trailer, 80-100 Ton – U-shape mining body, 80-100 t, 16 / 10 / 18 mm main beam, HYVA hydraulic lifting system, two, three or four axles.
All four run on mechanical leaf spring suspension as standard with air suspension available on request, WABCO RE6 relay valves with 40 L air tanks, and shot blasting plus one primer and two top coats. ABS is optional. See the full dump and tipper range, or the side dump builds if you tip into a trench rather than onto a face.
What a quoted price does not include
- Ocean freight and marine insurance. Those turn FOB into CIF. We quote FOB, CIF and EXW, so ask for all three if you want to compare properly.
- Customs clearance and duties at your end. These are the buyer’s responsibility on our terms – budget for your own broker separately.
- Inland transport beyond the destination port.
- Third-party inspection fees if you appoint SGS or BV. We accept and cooperate with both; the fee is yours.
Why two tipper truck quotes in Nigeria differ
When two factories quote the same tipper truck build at different figures, the gap is almost never margin alone. It is usually one of four things: a different axle rating or axle brand, a different main beam steel grade or plate thickness, a different body plate thickness, or a different shipping form. Ask both suppliers for the same specification sheet before comparing, and ask what each line item actually is. A quote you cannot break down is a quote you cannot compare.
How to get an exact figure
A reply stops being a range as soon as we know six things about the load, the route and your market. The list, item by item, is on what to put in a first message.
We will propose the rest – beam section, plate thickness, cylinder and tyres – against those answers and show you where each choice sits. See how an order runs from enquiry to delivery and our payment terms before you commit.
FAQ
Why don’t you publish a tipper truck price?
Because the four things that decide it – body volume, axle rating, steel grade and shipping form – are also the things you are allowed to choose. A published figure would either be for a trailer you do not want, or it would be wrong for the one you do. Tell us the duty and we will price that build.
Is the quote per unit or for the whole order?
We quote per unit, and the unit price improves from five or ten units. One-unit trial orders are accepted and priced as one unit.
Do you accept third-party inspection before shipment?
Yes. SGS and BV are both accepted and we cooperate with the process. Put the inspection window before the balance payment – what a factory inspection proves and does not prove is worth reading first.
What documents come with the order?
Commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and certificate of origin. If your bank or broker needs more, name it at the quoting stage.
Can you build to my specification?
Yes – axle count, beam section, plate thickness, cylinder, tyre size and paint are all set per order. We also hold CCC certificate 2023011101544385 and ISO 9001.
